What we call ‘medieval astronomy’ was far more than just scientific observation. For over a thousand years across vast regions of the world From Rey to Baghdad, from Isfahan to Florence, generations of astronomers, astrologers, and seekers of cosmic knowledge worked hard to find the precise measuring of time, space and planetary position as well as finding new ways to discover the meaning of the heavenly motions.
In this presentation, we explore how medieval astronomy not only transformed our understanding of the cosmos but also laid the foundations for many astrological tools and techniques that we have today. Let's see what astrologers of old times had in their hand and also their pockets!
