Bod-i-ly Con-junc-tion
/ˈbɑː.də.li kənˈdʒʌŋk.ʃən/
An applying conjunction in which the physical bodies of two planets meet at the same degree, or within a very close orb, typically within the same zodiac sign. This signifies the direct and complete fusion of the significations of the two planets.
The Bodily Conjunction (Greek: sunaphē sōmatikós, meaning "joining together of bodies") is the strongest and most literal relationship two planets can form. It is the culmination of an Assembly and is distinct from an Applying Aspect (sometimes called a figural conjunction), where the planets' rays or influences come together by aspect (sextile, square, trine, or opposition) without their bodies meeting. When a bodily conjunction perfects, the combined nature of the two planets becomes a singular, powerful factor in the chart, blending their functions and domains. The faster planet's energy is completely subsumed into, and directed by, the slower planet's nature and placement.
