An-gu-lar House
/ˈæŋ.ɡjʊ.lər haʊs/
In astrology, any of the four houses in a chart that begin at the angles: the first, fourth, seventh, and tenth houses, associated with strong expression and activity.
Angular houses are considered the strongest and most influential areas of the chart. They are directly tied to the angles, with the exception of Whole Sign and Equal House systems where the Midheaven and the Imum Coeli can fall in houses that are not angular. The angles mark the chart’s orientation to the Earth’s rotation. Planets in angular houses are empowered, active, and visible. Traditional astrology views these houses as carriers of action and decisive events in the life of the native.
