Aka Geospatial longitude

Similar to right ascension  the azimuth ranges from 0° to 360°

Azimuth 0 Degrees is True North.

 

Azimuth is the horizontal angle or direction of a celestial object or compass bearing, measured as the angular distance from the north or south point of the horizon to the point where a vertical circle passing through the object intersects the horizon.
