Apogee

ap·o·gee
/ˈapəˌjē/

The point in a celestial body’s orbit where it is farthest from Earth.

In astronomy and astrology, apogee marks the most distant point of the Moon’s orbit around Earth. The term is also applied to artificial satellites when describing their trajectories. In astrology, the lunar apogee is often associated with the “Black Moon Lilith,” a calculated point symbolizing themes of absence, shadow, and the unconscious. While the Moon moves closer and farther from Earth over the course of its orbit, the apogee highlights a moment of maximum distance, influencing how astrologers interpret the Moon’s symbolic expression in both natal and predictive charts.
