Ad-her-ence
/ədˈhɪə.rəns/
The condition in which one celestial body is extremely close to another in the zodiac, appearing to cling or attach itself to it.
In ancient and medieval astrology, adherence describes the situation when two planets are applying to form an exact conjunction within three degrees, so that they appear to be visually attaching to one another. This differs from a conjunction by emphasizing the sense of sticking or blending together so closely that one cannot be distinguished from the other. Adherence symbolically represents intensification, merging of qualities, or the loss of separateness between two planetary influences.
